To compare and contrast Elizabeth Biship's One particular Art with Dylan Thomas's Do Not Proceed Gentle in the Night 1 cannot support but recognize that both are working with the subject of loss. Bishop, even though accepts all manner of loss as well as the literary products chosen support this thesis. In contrast, Jones does anything but accept reduction. The fictional devices employed by Bishop happen to be use of tiefstapelei, traditional villanelle structure, shifting from small to big.
